Engineering Methodology:
Feasibility study, complete project management including: engineering, construction supervision, and startup assistance.

Construction Contracts: All contracts were lump sum, bid at the same time. The project was completed within original budget, 31 months from start of feasibility study.

Principal Features:

  • Covered bulk storage building 170 ft. wide by 1368 ft. long with 14 compartments and expansion capability to 2,600 feet.

  • Portal scraper allowing 100% live storage and first in - first out inventory control.

  • Luffing stackers inside building for dust-free storage to prevent air pollution.

  • System flexibility permits handling 3 different materials at the same time.

  • Vehicle loading and unloading stations can accommodate all types of rail cars and trucks.

  • Dust control systems.

  • Quadrant type shiploader.

  • Handling rates:

    • Rail and truck unloading at 1200 TPH.
    • Rail and truck loading at 1400 TPH.
    • Barge and ship loading at 1400 TPH.
