PROJECT: MIDTAP Loading Facility

Engineering, procurement and construction management services were provided by Soros for a new liquid and solid petroleum products loading facility for MIDTAP (Middle Eastern Tankage and Pipeline) . The two berth facility loads up to 50,000 DWT tankers with petroleum products from a refinery. Each berth is equipped with three 10 inch loading arms, two for petroleum products and one for accepting waste from the ships. The dry bulk material handling system consists of a petroleum coke storage pile which is stacked and reclaimed by mobile equipment. The petroleum coke is conveyed to the ship loader at 1,000 MTPH.
