Soros Associates has planned and engineered a wide variety of port projects. Comprehensive master-plan studies for ports in 26 countries. Ranging from single product ports to the Industrial Ports Program of Mexico, have encompassed cargo forecasting, economic evaluation, and financial analysis in agreement with the standards of the major international lending institutions.

Design for over 500 bulk, liquid and general cargo port facilities, among which are 14 ports at virgin sites, have included site selection, navigation aids, channel alignment, turning basins, dredging, land reclamation, seawalls, breakwaters, and all types of marine structures.
