Soros Associates has been responsible for many of the innovations
and advances in the state-of-the-art of bulk port technology. These
developments, in response to specific needs of our clients, resulted
in capital cost savings and/or other economic and operating benefits.

The pictures on the left show an example of Soros' patented
design for a dual linear loader at La Candelaria in Punta
Padrones, Chile loading 1100 TPH copper concentrate into vessels
of 10,000 to 35,000 DWT.
Highlighted in Bulk Solids Handling Volume 13, No.1,
February 1993 in an article titled "Dual-Linear Loader
- Cost Breakthrough in Shiploading," the machine utilizes
a dual linear motion shiploader that provides economies of
berth design and full length and reach shuttle movement of
the loading boom on a constant span bridge. |
Soros provided detail engineering, detailed design of shiploader,
approach conveyor, civil and marine works for this project .
